The Egalitarian case study - igniting team culture

Taking The Egalitarian team through our Inclusion Basics Course.


The Project:

We designed our Inclusion Basics Course to implement foundational principles for teams and individuals when it comes to DEI. The course had three sessions:

  • Knocking Out Unconscious Bias

  • Inclusive Language 101

  • So You Want to Talk About Race

As with all Matriarch sessions, participants leave with knowledge, tools and new skill sets in order to show up for those around them and be inclusive, compassionate to others.


The Egalitarian exists to challenge systemic gender inequality and injustice. They're a small team, growing rapidly to create impact around women's safety. We were proud to partner with them and skill up the whole team, leading them through the course. But it's best coming from them, than us!


"We could not recommend Ria and the Inclusions Basic Course enough to anyone who’d like to brush up or learn more about equality, diversity and inclusivity. We spent a solid three hours listening and talking and sharing, and by the time we said our goodbyes we each had the biggest boost of adrenaline and empowerment. Ria did ask for feedback following the course coming to an end, and I have to say, the constructive feedback section was a struggle - there really aren’t enough great things to say about the wonderful Ria and MatriarchLtd as a whole.
